F.A.Q.
Highland Construction and Restoration is here for you when you find yourself in need of storm damage restoration in the Fayetteville, Wilmington, Raleigh and the surrounding areas.
How do i secure my property after a storm?
First create a three-day supply of water and nonperishable foods including daily medication. Please don’t forget your pets.
Check your attic and crawlspace for signs of leaks prior to the storm look for place where water can enter your home. Inspect your siding, facia & soffit to making sure all pieces are snapped in and locked together. Check around the home for loose debris, secure porch furniture, potted plants basically anything that could be picked up by the wind. Have the gutters cleaned and make sure the down spouts extend out far enough to keep water from the home. Have any trees with dead limbs or one touching the home cut back to a safe distance.
Lastly review your insurance policy to determine what items are covered and what are not. Go around the house once everything is secured and photograph completely from ground level to top and get as much of the roof as possible from the ground.
