Locally owned and operated since 1981, Highland Construction and Restoration provides award-winning restoration, renovation, and repair services for home and business owners across southeastern North Carolina.
Our founders, Margaret and Gary Strickland Sr., have inspired us to not simply offer services to people but to serve people. We relate to stories of loss because we ourselves have experienced loss. In 1981, the Strickland family’s home caught fire. At that time, there was no restoration industry as we know it today. So when the Stricklands’ insurance company wrote an estimate for the repairs, Mr. Strickland took on the project himself. His management skills greatly impressed the insurance adjuster, who asked Mr. Strickland if he’d take on another insurance repair job… and then another, and another.
This went on until Highland developed a reputation as one of the top renovation contractors in southeastern North Carolina. As the years went by, the Stricklands’ business expanded to include their son Kenny Strickland and brother Gary Strickland II.
Highland is now a licensed and certified construction and restoration company, for residential and commercial properties alike, with offices in Fayetteville, Wilmington, and Raleigh.
